Description: This microscope provides three-dimensional visual representation and surface analysis of materials with an excitation wavelength range from 405 nm to 633 nm. Optional filters can be installed for fluorescence imaging. The optical component is equipped with axiocam and has a magnification range from 2.5x to 100x. The computer has both axiovision for optical imaging and zen 2000 for confocal imaging. Ultimate z resolution of confocal system is about 1 micron. Both confocal and optical images can be tiled and stitched into a single image up to 40 gigabytes in file size. The optical microscope has an extended focus option which alleviates depth of focus issues.
