Description: This infrared spectrometer uses attenuated total reflectance to examine samples with minimal preparation. The ATR uses total internal reflection resulting in an evanescent wave which penetrates the material between 0.5 and 3.0 micrometers. This process allows for determining the composition of compounds by producing IR absorbance spectra. The IR 300 is incredibly user-friendly and requires minimal prep-time.
