Description: This TGA is coupled with a mass spectrometer and allows the user to identify the gaseous chemical species being evolved from a specimen during heating from RT up to 1600C for the low temperature furnace or from RT up to 2000C using the high temperature furnace. The mass spectrometer uses electron ionization. It is able to generate scan analog, scan bar graph, or an MID. Sample purge options include Helium, Argon, N2, and Air. The machine is able to accommodate specimens of 30 to 100mg. Three tests are recommended per material.
